BH: For me it’s one thing that’s recurrent to most productions, the director needs to be aware of his resources and manage and distribute them accordingly. |

| I also think it’s important to know when to delegate and to know when to shift priorities. And compromise is unavoidable; you just have to make sure not to lose you initial vision and ideas. That’s what I try to concentrate on most I think. Evolving and changing ideas is a good thing, but not to the detriment of the overall concept IA: What’s your vision of CG/digital art? How do you see it evolving in the near future? BH: I think that CG is yet to be used for its immense creative potential. CG has fallen into three or four generic and recognised styles and very few people attempt to deviate from these. After all, it’s a tool that allows for any kind of genre or story. 2D animation has now been replaced by CG, which is now the mainstream medium for animated films and games. It’s a technology that has not ceased to evolve, always finding ways to better itself year after year, film after film. CG is still an expensive and technically challenging tool to use and that’s why its creative spectrum is still very limited for experimentation. Maybe with 3D software becoming more affordable and easy to use and with the number of young of CG artists growing every year, the creative horizon for Digital art is bound to widen and become very exciting indeed. |
